Nico’s Takeover
Let her take control… ♡
Nico takes over your Windows PC. Version 2.0 — “The Pretty Rework”, a complete rebuild with a whole new look and sound — is out now.
Overview
She redecorated. Nico’s Takeover 2.0, “The Pretty Rework”, is out now. She tore the whole program down to the studs and rebuilt it to actually look like it belongs to her — every screen redrawn in wine-black, crimson and bubblegum pink, with a living heartbeat and a brand-new sound pack.
Pick how long she gets, give your consent, and watch her claim your PC in real time: your admin rights revoked, your wallpaper claimed, your logon screen branded. When it’s over, everything is restored.
She’s prettier now. She still isn’t letting go. 🩷
Before you run it
Nico’s Takeover makes real changes to Windows: it revokes your admin rights and changes your wallpaper and logon screen until the session ends. It asks for your consent first, and Ctrl + Alt + Shift + R with the password always gets you out and restores everything. Read the itch.io page before running it.
Features
Choose your duration
10 minutes, a random length from 1 minute to 1 week, or endless (∞) — only the password ends it.
A living heartbeat
A real EKG line follows her pulse and speeds up as the takeover climbs toward the climax.
Live session window
Status chips flip in real time — admin → REVOKED, wallpaper → CLAIMED, logon → BRANDED — beside a cleaner terminal.
Total visual overhaul
Boot, mode select, session, consent, undo, recap and settings, all redrawn in her colours with soft-glowing panels and rounded neon buttons.
New sound pack
Synthesised from scratch: a dark ambient bed with a music-box lullaby, a quickening heartbeat, glitch bursts, popup sounds and her little voice blip on every line.
Her own popups
Popups now appear framed as her own little pink windows.
Safe always reads as safe
Mint green is reserved for the way out, and a guaranteed exit restores everything instantly.
Sharp on any screen
No more blur on 1440p and 4K displays.
