Overview

Nicoware is a configurable desktop takeover program inspired by Edgeware. It fills your screen with pop-up images, floating text and hypnotic overlays, with optional chaos effects like screen glitches, drifting windows and hacking-style text rain.

It came before NicoOS, and its concepts helped NicoOS grow into a more unified desktop experience. It’s still available on itch.io.
